Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at memeurbanfarm@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Microgreens are the young seedlings of common vegetables and edible plants. They are believed to be 4 to 40 times more nutrient-dense than their fully grown counterparts.

Sprouts and microgreens have similar nutritional profiles, but their primary difference lies in how they are grown and harvested. Sprouts are typically cultivated in jars and require frequent watering throughout the day. Since the entire plant—including the roots, stem, and leaves—is consumed, the consistently moist environment can promote pathogen growth. In contrast, microgreens are harvested for their stems and leaves only. They are grown with controlled moisture levels, reducing the risk of contamination.
